Amen Sister. Yes education is important, THANKS FOR THE TIP GENUIS! How convenient for all those awesome stay-at-home married moms! You can get a college education while your hubby provides for you, houses you AND YOU WON'T HAVE TO LIFT A FINGER! Congrats on having the perfect life while us poor single moms have to WORK for the exact same thing.

*insert fire coming out of ears*

> Well, duh!! How many sociologists does it take to figure out that life is hard for most single mothers?

Way to miss the point. This study is not about the trials and tribulations faced by the mother. It's about how little time the *child* gets with the mother. Which you agree with. Don't you think it's useful to know exactly how little time kids get when they are raised by single mothers? Or does your agenda not allow such scientific enquiry?

You're breathtakingly offensive, pisceshanna.

I dont think she's missed the point, but I think you have missed the point of what she is saying. Knowing how little quality time a single parent may have with there child isn't exactly useful knowledge to a single parent. We get it. It must just be on the agenda of the married parents to need to know how much better they are raising there children than us single parents. Good for you.

How 'bout this?  Mothering should be a paid job.  It is undoubtedly the most important work human societies perform (not to mention all other mammalian species.)  To speak boldly, it is everything!  The fact that mothers are expected to either contribute to the cash economy on top of our already enormous (though joyous) load, or depend on a man to provide for us and our children should have us outraged.  I can't believe everyone is going along with this!  Finding "true love" is a distraction.
