As if being a single mom is not already hard enough. California is making it so some single mothers have to quit their jobs because of the new cuts that they are enforcing.

After coming across and article on the web about California making cuts on the daycare I was absolutely sickened. I could halfway understand if it was a two parent home because they could adjust their schedules so someone could be at home with the children. But, when it comes to a single mom who has to work to pay the bills how could you possibly expect her to be able to afford daycare as well as expenses.

Obviously, the state of California thinks it is no big deal. Many single mothers work and just barely make it month to month. By the state assisting them with daycare it makes things a whole lot easier. However, when they no longer have this public assistance things can become really hard. This is why some single mothers are finding it is just going to be best for them to quit their jobs because in reality they are basically just working to pay for their children’s daycare.

Even though I am not one of the people who uses public daycare assistance I could imagine how I would feel if I did not work from home and depended on them to cover daycare costs so I could work. I mean really what options do these mothers have? To me this is all just very sad.
