Every woman in the country who is a single mother has fears. Some of them are good fears – meaning they are natural – while other fears are not. Today, I thought it would be a good idea to list some of the fears that single mothers have so we can see can all analyze whether or not our fears are normal or not so normal.
Fearing that our children will not grow up to their fullest potential because they have no father figures in their lives: This is something that new single mothers fear due to the fact that the dad was in their child’s life and then one day they were gone. It can be hard to explain to children especially if they are a certain age. But, this is not something that we should fear due to the fact that plenty of people were raised by just their mothers and they turned out alright. Matter of fact, if you are a single mother to boys there is a chance that they will respect women more due to the fact that their father is not around.
Fearing that we will not have enough money to take care of our children: When you are a single mom this is a natural fear due to the fact that from making a switch to a one home income from a two home income can cause you to worry about whether or not you will have the money to pay for bills, keep your children happy and take care of all of your other responsibilities. However, there is so much help out there for single mothers that you should never have to worry about this too much.
